Grandmaster Philip Chenique first came to the world of Martial Arts at the age of seven, beginning with the study of Judo at the Y.M.C.A. in New York. He also undertook the study of Karate and Ken-Jitsu. By age thirteen, Grandmaster Chenique was studying Take-No-Uchi Kogen-Ryu Atemi Jujitsu with Sensei Richard Adams. Later, at age twenty, he studied Shotokan Karate under the guidance of Shihan Barry Deutsch.
Grandmaster Chenique traveled with his father, a Green Beret in the military, and was given the opportunity to gain exposure to various types of Martial Arts around the United States and in Europe. It was the exposure to different forms of fighting which gave Grandmaster Chenique an insight to the principles of combat on both an offensive and defensive level.....more info
Over the past two decades, Grandmaster Renshi Arturo Morera has been a pillar of the Atemi Ryu combat Ju Jitsu system and was even appointed to the position of Chief Professor. With innovative techniques,extraordinary skill and the ability to teach students from all walks of life, he has left an immeasurable impact on those whom he encounters.
Arturo's relentless pursuit to perfect the art and discover new technique's continues to result in an ever growing community of students that are inspired to strive,seek and push beyond the norm in the martial arts and in life. 1st degree black belt in Rex Lee's Ju-Jitsu
